| | To celebrate six months of being with Mache, I took him to an archeological site of the oldest known civilization in South America, Tiwanaku. Even though it's only an hour outside of our city, he'd never been there, so I made sure we explored in style.
First, he was required to wear an Indiana Jones explorer hat the entire day.
Then, he had an "ancient manuscript" full of tasks for the day.
For example, he had to pose like several of the statues in the park.
He had to make up stories about how one of the statues had lost his head. (Mache's story: The statue never actually had a head. It was built in reverence to the headless extraterrestrials who helped build the ancient civilization.)
We ate salad. I got sunburnt, he got darker. And for completing the 12 Astronomical Tasks he won the treasure of homemade cheesecake.
Oh, and I got to wear the Indiana Jones hat too.
I envision many more adventures to come!
